Q:  Do I need to install the software for the mouse to work on my computer system?
A:  No, the Areson mouse products can use the native drivers supplied by the operation system you are using. Please note the provided software is only needed if you with to use the additional features the software provides, such as wheel button assignments.

Q:  Problem with Areson mouse in Windows 95 DOS-Box
A:  If you got problems in Windows DOS-Box, we suggest delete the DOS mouse driver from autoexec.bat. In Windows 95 DOS-Box the driver isn¡¦t needed, because Windows 95 load it¡¦s own mouse driver. If you don¡¦t do so, you will have a conflict between two drivers, which are trying to manage the same device.

Q:  Wheel button function under Windows 95/98
A:  For using the special wheel button functions, you need to install the proper driver provided by your product distributor or download from our website¡¦s Driver Download section.

Q:  Cursor moves too fast/slow
A:  The mouse speed setting determines the rate at which the cursor moves across the screen as you move the mouse. Mouse speed is a user-adjustable setting, which is usually set in the mouse control panel, depending on your mouse driver software.

Q:  What is Optical Technology? What different functions can an Optical Mouse can provide from a traditional ball mouse?
A:  Optical is a technology that uses a sensor to determine the relative position of the mouse instead of the traditional mechanical ball. Using an optical sensor means more precise mouse movement and no dirt and grime build-up associated with traditional ball mice. Also, using an optical sensor means you can use the mouse on almost any surface. All these factors contribute to the overall reliability of an optical mouse.

Q:  The Optical Mouse cursor doesn¡¦t work or not smoothly.
A:  The surface on which you use the mouse plays an important role in its tracking. The optical sensor must use the pattern on the surface to track the position of the cursor. Therefore, using the mouse on a glass or otherwise see-through surface will inhibit the ability of the sensor to track the cursor. Also, if you are using the mouse on a reflective surface, such as a mirror or shiny metal desk, you may also experience tracking problems.

Q:  I have followed the user¡¦s manual to install my wireless mouse, but the mouse cannot work.
A:  Please check some possible reasons followed:
¡P Make sure you have connected the receiver correctly to the computer¡¦s USB or PS2 port.
¡P Make sure you have set the communication between the receiver and the mouse. Refer to the channel setting instruction in your manual.
¡P Some system devices might conflict with the mouse. Confirm the IRQ/address settings of these devices for conflicts, and change the settings as required.
¡P Make sure that you are not working the mouse on glossy or reflective surfaces.
¡P Try unplugging then reconnecting the receiver cable to your computer.

Q:  What kind of battery life can I expect for the wireless mouse products?
A:  Under normal usage, the NiMH batteries should last until end of the product¡¦s life. A new set of batteries should last for about 300 to 500 charge/discharge cycles before you experience a noticeable reduction of cycle time.

Q:  Where can I buy additional or replacement batteries?
A:  You can buy batteries at most retail electronics and photography shops. Just make sure to buy the correct type and size of batteries specified.

Q:  Why isn¡¦t my mouse fully charged after being in the Charge Cradle for a long time?
A:  In certain situations, keeping the mouse in the Charge Cradle for extended periods of time may cause the mouse to start losing its charge. Simply remove it from the Charge Cradle, then put it back to finish charging.

Q:  Can I take the mouse off of the Charge Cradle before it¡¦s finished charging?
A:  Yes, but taking the mouse off the Charge Cradle before it reaches a full charge means the mouse will work for a shorter period before it need to be recharged again.

Q:  Can I use another AC adapter except the package included one?
A:  Yes, but it is the most important that you choose an AC adapter following the specification described in User¡¦s manual.

Q:  What can cause interference with my cordless product, and what can I do?
A:  Any electrical device, such as the computer monitor, zip drives, speakers, ets., can cause interference with the wireless mouse products. Most likely, this will affect tracking of pointing device behavior and range. To resolve these types of issues, try moving the receiver at least 8 inches away from other electrical devices. You can also resolve interference issues by moving the mouse closer to the receiver. You may also want to experiment with different locations and positions for the receiver. Another alternate solution is to elevate the receiver by placing it on a CD ROM case or other item.

Q:  When I move my cordless mouse, the user next to me cannot move the cursor on his system until I stop moving my mouse. What should I do?
A:  Try changing the ID of one device. To do this, simply press the connection button on the receiver and then press the connecting button on the bottom of the mouse.

Q:  Where is the factory ?
A:  Factory : Dong Guan Hong Sheng Electronic Corp. (Arestech Int'l Corp.)
